Service Prices the gundog.com
We have dogs flown in to Kansas City International Airport from all corners of the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska on a regular basis. We even get dogs from several foreign countries.
(All costs and flight arrangements
are the responsibility of the owner.)
Pick up or delivery service fees to Kansas City International apply ....currently $30
each way.
All dogs that are flown out of MCI airport, after training, must be paid in full before shipping out.
Two weeks advance payment is due at time of check in. Payment is then due every 30 days.
Health certificate and current vaccination records must accompany your dog.
Canine Vaccination
Requirements:
Required vaccinations: Bordetella and Rabies
(Distemper,
hepatitis, Para influenza, Corona virus and Parvovirus are usually
given as a multi coverage inoculation). Lyme disease is not a required
vaccination.
* *NOTE: You must request the Bordetella vaccination in addition to the regular vaccines you receive from your vet. It must be given 14 days prior to arrival, if given intranasal, as it has been shown to have an affect on nasal linings and scenting ability
of hunting dogs for up to 2 weeks.
* Canine vaccinations should be administered at least 1 week prior to boarding as the vaccine is not fully effective immediately.
* Please present proof of annual vaccinations (A signed certificate is available from your veterinarian) upon arrival.
Long term dogs should have monthly medications taped to their airline crate, or mailed directly to the kennel.

Pre-training,
initial evaluations are recommended on dogs that will be coming in for training. They can be done at the ages of 4 months, 5 months, and again at 6 months to determine natural skills, pre-work needed, and maturity level, etc, for
$20 per session. These monthly sessions should take no more than
30 to 45 minutes, and are done weekdays, and on Saturday mornings by appointment.

ALL WEEKEND VISITS MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE. WEEK DAY VISITS REQUIRE AT LEAST ONE DAYS NOTICE.

Training for obedience is $95.00 per week, and depending on the dog, and also taking into consideration any special work that is requested, times will vary as to how long the dog will need to be in training.
UPLAND DOGS.............Boarding, while the dog is being trained, is included at no charge in the cost of training.
Training per week for UPLAND dogs ( Pointers, Setters, Britts, GSPs, etc)....
$95.00 for dogs requiring normal care

per day additional for dogs that are "HARD TO KEEP", or requiring daily medication.**
Additional charge for game birds used.
You pay only our cost price. No profit is made on the birds that are used.
(Bird cost is not included in the monthly training fee, as the amount of birds used will differ from dog to dog.)
$3.50 -$4 average price on Quail.
Pheasants at current market rate.

( We can keep our prices this low because we do not feel the need to
drive new, stainless steel dog transports, and fortunately we have no
mortgage on our home. For this and other reasons, we do not need to charge you unfairly for our services).
Boarding (full time boarders annual rate)........... call for rate.
First Day Dropped off is the first day charged regardless of
drop off time.
Discharge day is free if your dog is picked up between 9:30 A M and 10:00AM
Option 1. Boarding short term.........$10.00 per day Includes
feeding, watering and cleaning your dogs pen. (If you are concerned that
your dog will not "relieve itself" in the outside section of it's pen,
or will not be housebroken when it returns home, you may want to choose
option 2.)
Option 2. Boarding/ with individual walking and yard playtime with treats... $12.00 per day
Option 3. Boarding/ with individual field time/ water
time, and/or bird work... $14.00 per day

ALL VISITS, INCLUDING PICK UP AND DROP OFF MUST BE SCHEDULED. UNSCHEDULED VISITS MAY CUT INTO ANOTHER DOGS TRAINING TIME.
** HARD TO KEEP dogs are dogs that are destructive to pens or kennel equipment, have abnormally dirty waste habits in their pen, (which requires substantially more water, sanitizer, and cleaning time), excessive barkers, or dogs that require daily medication.
Dogs will be evaluated and classified normal keep or Hard to Keep at the end of their first week.
Gift certificates are available for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christmas, "that hard- to- buy- for sportsman", etc.
Certificates are in one week increments, or if you know you will be in training for a longer period of time, they can be written as directed.
Simply send a check or money order for the amount of weeks that you wish to pre pay, along with the recipients name, and a Cerda-Fied Gundogs Certificate, inscribed with recipients name, will be mailed to the person of your choice. Be sure to state in your email or letter; the date you wish the certificate to arrive .
For faster service, or if you are in a "pinch", a form copy of the Gift Certificate can be e-mailed directly to be printed out by your loved one with your regards. E-mailed certificates will not be validated until check or money order arrive at Cerda-Fied Gundogs.
