"Hard to keEP dogs
Why we charge
extra...
(WE do not have additional charges for dogs with special feeding instructions, or feeding your own supplied brand of dog food. )
$1.00 PER DAY RARELY COVERS THE ACTUAL COST OF REPLACING EQUIPMENT, OR PAYING EXTRA KENNEL HELP, BUT AT LEAST IT HELPS. we hope that you understand and will not be offended, since By keeping extra charges to specific dogs, we are able to keep our overall boarding and training prices lower. Board Dogs will be classified normal Keep, or Hard to keep at the end of the third day, unless it is obvious on day one.
**Dogs that have "unreasonably" dirty waste habits, such as running through and smearing their waste into the concrete and on the walls, will also be charged an extra $1.00 per day, as it takes 2 to 3 times longer to clean their, and their neighbor's pens, walls, and floors. We understand that it may take a few days to adjust to a new atmosphere, or to learn how to use our in/ out doors, so we are fairly lenient on the first stay.
**Dogs that are destructive to kennel equipment such as food pans, sleeping pallets, bedding, water buckets, fencing, Dog doors etc. will be charged an extra $1.00 per day. Some kennels charge full price for each piece of damaged equipment; but we accept a reasonable amount of wear and tear.
**Dogs requiring Daily, or multiple doses of medication, require extra time, special instruction, and record keeping for kennel helpers, and are charged $1.00 per day.
**Dogs that are nervous barkers, hyper active, OR DOGS THAT LIKE TO FIGHT THROUGH THE FENCE upset the entire kennel, which, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, causes dogs to relieve themselves more often. this in turn requires more time to be spent on the entire kennel.
With the exception of first time kennelers, Most owners usually know ahead of time if their dog fits into one of these categories , so it should be of no surprise to them if they are classed as {"Hard to keep"}
